Youth in Philanthropy (YIP) has educated more than 1,250 MetroWest youth who have helped grant well over $1 million to support nonprofits in our local cities and towns. YIP teaches middle school and high school students to be philanthropic by providing them with the opportunity to visit with nonprofit leaders, work collaboratively with organizations and youth from across MetroWest, and grant funds to the nonprofits of their choice.
YIP’s influence goes beyond traditional volunteer work. The program helps teens learn real-life, strategic principles of philanthropy and establish a lifelong passion for giving back. At the close of their time in YIP, teens have the knowledge, confidence and skills to take on leadership roles and pursue a lifelong commitment to philanthropy. Youth in Philanthropy is made possible thanks to our generous community funding partners.
